About Kona Plaza

KP aerial view smallKona Plaza condominiums is a community of neighbors and friends, striving to live in aloha.  Many of our residents have called Kona Plaza home for many years - a few are original owners!  In recent years, we've seen a dramatic increase in apartments being made available to visitors as vacation rentals, and we enjoy the opportunity to welcome visitors to Kailua Kona and to our home.

Kona Plaza was built in 1971, originally named the Dolphin Condominiums.  We are located on the Island of Hawaiʻi (the "Big Island") in the heart of the historic village of Kailua Kona, former capital of the State of Hawaiʻi.  We're right across the street from the ocean and right in the center of great shopping and restaurants.  We are located right next to Mokuaikaua Christian Church, founded in 1820, which was the first Christian church in the islands.  We are also catty-corner from historic Hulihe’e Palace.

Although our address is 75‐5719 Aliʻi Drive in Kailua Kona, our property sits behind a two-story retail building with the same address, currently housing Na Haku (pearl jewelry store), Crazy Shirts and a soon-to-open coffee house.

We are a 4-story, mixed-use complex, with 75 residential units, 4 office/residential units and 2 large commercial units, subdivided into retail spaces.  As well as our four levels, we also have a garage (subterranean) level, in front of which are the two large commercial (retail) spaces.

We have a lovely pool and two sun/barbecue decks, both of which offer beautiful views of the ocean and wonderful sunsets, Aliʻi Drive, Mokuaika Church and Hulihe’e Palace.
